Ingredients :
- 270 gm or 8 oz Fresh Mushrooms chopped,
- Half onion, finely chopped,
- 1 medium size tomato finely chopped,
- 2 tbsp oil,
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 tsp red chili powder,
- 1 tsp garam masala,
- 1 1/2 inch ginger grated,
- 4-5 cloves of garlic grated,
- 1 tsp dry coconut powder,
- Salt to taste.
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, when its hot enough add jeera to it.
- When it starts spluttering add the chopped onion. Cook for 1 min. then add ginger, garlic and cook till onion is golden.
- Add salt, chili and garam masala, mix well, then add the mushroom and stir over high heat rapidly for 3 – 4 min. so the mushrooms will not get soggy.
- When the water given out by the mushrooms evaporate, as shown in picture right above, add tomatos and coconut powder. Mix well and cover the pan. Cook till the mashrooms are soft enough.
- Serve hot with chapatti or rice.
- Serves 2.
